We travel. Considering the love for travel in our family I think we have been fortunate over the years to be able to probably travel more than the average person. We seek adventure meaning Patagonia over Vegas, so naturally the Packing List becomes extensive.
And Yes - Packing Anxiety is real. It's a struggle to the finish. With every day the Departure creeps closerThe lack of comfort, the uncertainty, the fear forgetting something important will certainly rise the 'Packing Anxiety'.
Lightweight, breathable shirts and pants. Remember, during periods of hight humidity wet clothes will not dry and are more prone to mold.
Swimwear - keep it basic.
Dry-fit long sleeve Hoody with a sun protective 50+ UPF rating for solar protection. This piece of travel clothing always comes in handy when the activities call for a day in the sun! Anything from fishing, sailing, swimming, hiking, rowing or surfing.
Moisture-wicking underwear and socks - personally we mix our underwear since Cotton is just so much more comfortable than Polyester.
Hat or cap for sun protection, possibly a beanie for colder days and regions.
Comfortable walking shoes. They don't have to be waterproof as long as you keep them dry. For that reason we often travel with a pair of slippers or sandal.
Slippers or sandals for beach and casual wear. Note: Besides being surrounded by beaches, Slippers will come in handy when you hike through areas that are riddled with rivers and streams – preserving your hiking shoes, keeping them dry is critical.
Long-sleeved shirt and pants for insect protection.
Sunglasses preferably Polarized and with UV protection. Don't go fancy. Expect them to easily scratch or bend.
Sunscreen (reef-safe if swimming in marine areas). For more in detail please refer to our @Blog on Sunscreen.
Insect repellent containing DEET or picaridin. Here again we are covering this topic in detail in our @Mosquitos Blog.
